RYA Lessons & Courses – If you want to learn we have a variety of tuition packages to get you going in either RYA Windsurfing courses, RYA Dinghy sailing courses, or RYA Yacht sailing theory and practical courses and lessons from Hamble on the Solent close to Southampton and also Brighton on the UK South Coast. Once you've learnt the basics, we've got the experienced and highly skilled sailing and watersports instructors to provide both dinghy, yacht sailing and windsurfing lessons to the highest levels! We also offer RYA powerboat and motor boat tuition up to safety boat standard. Whatever you want to learn we can help you.

From our yacht sailing base on the Hamble river on the Solent, UK we run yacht team building sailing days and team building activity sailing events in addition to the bare boat and skippered sailing yacht charter for the Solent, South Coast and further afield to the Channel Isles or France. We run both skippered and bareboat Solent yacht charter, with easy and fast access into the Solent with fantastic, protected, local cruising and a myriad of nearby ports and destinations. It is an ideal location for company yacht sailing days, stag and hen yacht sailing weekend and day parties or taking part in local sailing regattas and the Solent yacht racing scene. We offer individual berths for yacht racing in Cowes Week, Round the Island Race and enter yachts into the Little Britain Challenge Cup Regatta 2011 in September for corporate yacht racing as well as Solent yacht experience days and 1 day charters.

Social – It is not just about helping you learn to sail or learn to windsurf. We're often complimented on the welcoming and friendly atmosphere at Datchet Watersports, and there's definitely a healthy social side to our activities. Yachting The last yacht season was excellent...with Buster, David, Ian, Scott and Paul all acting as skippers throughout the season. A tad windy at times but excellent fun! We have had team building company days, stag parties, social sailing weekends and some racing.
There was the huge fleet of 1,908 boats entered into Round the Island Race in June with 27 knots on the start line and a mixed ability but mainly inexperienced crew - and we got round it a very credible 13th place in class and 251st place overall with a time of 8hr 29mins. Just staying out of trouble was the name of the game! There were 68 'urgency' calls made to the Coastguard from the race! We saw 5 boats aground, 3 multihulls inverted, several dismasted and heard a constant stream of Mayday and pan pan calls. We kept safe, all our crew loved it and had a great time. The next day was a huge contrast of light winds, mist and sun!
Cowes Week was windy again too and we had the social racing fireworks weekend combined with the start of the Fastnet on the Sunday - that made for spectacular action and great viewing! Why not join us on one of our weekends!
