ABOUT DATCHET WATERSPORTS CENTRE:
RYA Watersports Courses, progressing, racing, cruising, yachting, holidays and leisure time – we do it all. Datchet Watersports is more than just a Watersports Centre providing watersports activities, lessons and hire – we are a Leisure Lifestyle!
We are a dedicated professional team of watersports enthusiasts based at Datchet Watersports Centre and the Queen Mother Reservoir, a location blessed with a huge piece of water over a mile across and no trees to spoil the wind! The best bit of water in Berkshire, Thames Valley or Home Counties and only 20 minutes outside of central London - for any watersports enthusiast that wants to introduce themselves or excel in watersports activities.
Our aim is to provide you with the very best possible experience in watersports activities, all within enjoyable and friendly relaxed surroundings based in our Berkshire, Thames Valley, Home Counties, West of London UK Head Quarters. Whether you are a complete beginner, or experienced in any of our sports, we will ensure that you progress within your watersports lessons and learn at your own personal pace with guidance and support from our caring watersports activities team. LATEST 2009 NEWS!
As we all know – money is tight right now. We appreciate this and we are trying hard to keep costs to a minimum. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that nearly all our prices are kept to last year levels – and our special deal packages are the same price as 2007 and in some cases 2006 or even earlier!
We will do the best we can to deliver a quality and enjoyable experience to make sure that you get value for money with a personal service. Please give us a ring and discuss any areas that we may be able to help … and if you know any way that you can help us develop more business – then please let us know!
‘Platinum Members’ Trip to the French Alps
(What a fantastic way to spend the whole of January!) a cracking 12 bed chalet with good company and good wine… and the best snow that the Alps saw for years! There was just so much snow! Thanks to everyone that made it out there – we loved having you out with us and had a really good time. We just hope that next year things might ease up a little financially against the euro and let people breathe a little easier! However – cooking for ourselves saved a few quid … and we ate extremely well! If you fancy a place on next years trip – let us know!
We came back to the UK full of snow! Luckily Timmee had still got the snow chains for the van so we can made sure that we get into work no probs! The first day back at work whilst we were shovelling snow off the sports we had Plat users coming up wanting to book a boat out for the weekend! Tough man or what!

Tabledancers
Sea Sailing Weekend:
Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September 2009
A chance to head down to the coast and complete a coastal endorsement on your Level 2 or Seamanship Qualification and also the only RYA module we can’t offer here at the reservoir – Day Sailing. Get some navigation training and then head off for a barbecue somewhere like Brownsea Island. Two days including accommodation and a packed lunch both days.
The Party

2 parties this year - the kick off on the 21st March and the Summer 6th June.
Did you miss the last one? A great time was had by all, with around 100 people turning up for fun and frolics. There was good music and plenty of games including lots of banter and an after party ‘party’ down at the campsite! A few sore heads in the morning!
'Sail n' Pub' Nights Start Thursday 7th May
Thursday evenings are now exceedingly busy with up to 35 people coming down for a mixture of dinghy sailing, windsurfing and youth windsurfing sessions. Giving Paul and Tim a chance to get out on the water and do some coaching is another reason to get down and have some fun. As the session finishes it is then down to the Ostrich, the local pub for a well deserved drink and dinner. The more the merrier so if you haven’t checked the social evenings out get down to the next one!
Windsor Races 10th Aug
Another event to look forward to – more of a ‘come along and meet us there affair’and try your luck on the GGees - a cracking evening. It is a chance to pull on the glad rags and see all the instructors out of their normal board shorts and t-shirts – they scrub up fairly well! – review will follow soon revealing who are the winners and who are the losers!

The Ski & Snowboard Trip
Well what can I say - only the best season of all! So much snow and a fantastic chalet and great company! Paul, Tim and Buster were there for the whole month of Jan - here are a couple of shots to whet your appetite! Ask us for details of this forthcoming seasons trip.
