The Ocean Blend (Yachting / Power Combo Day )
We threw in all the top ingredients to give you a real kick with a cool aftertaste. The experience will include a blend of sail and power, with the day evenly spread between our yachts and Zap Cats.
The yacht sail is a great team activity; with an instructor on board you can get very involved in the sailing of the yacht or perhaps chill out and enjoy the sail. Then onto the mean and lean Zap Cats, full of power and light on weight these racing boats are licensed to thrill!
We will take you out as a total beginner and bring you back as part of the crew having had a real taste of what yachting is all about. After a short briefing with the skipper you will motor out of Brighton Marina and get busy hoisting the sails. Once clear of the Marina entrance it is then time to turn off the engine and harness the power of the wind.
The session will be spent getting to grips with the basics of sailing under the watchful eye of one of our yacht masters. You will set sail along the Brighton coast, cruising past the piers.
This may be followed by an afternoon experiencing the highs (literally) of Zap Cating. These light multi-hull racing craft with big meaty engines will have your heart in your mouth. The instructors will amaze you with what these boats can do. Weather permitting, you may get to take the helm! This is the ultimate ‘hold on tight ride!” (Zap cats and powerboats are not suitable for bad backs)
The Ocean Blend is all about combining the contrasting experiences of sailing and power boating. The event plan can be adapted to suit your needs placing more emphasis on one element and we recommend to discuss you ideas with us so we can help work out the best event plan for your group.
For example we can add a yacht racing event if that was to suit.
To our standard Ocean Blend we can add the thrills and additional team building benefits of a yacht race regatta.
Using our racing yachts we can train you to compete in a thrilling close quarters race off the Brighton and Hove coast.

Kit You Need To Bring
Towel; Swimwear to go under wetsuit; Footwear that can get wet, an old pair of trainers is fine.
We will provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, life jackets and waterproofs where necessary. If you have your own and would like to bring them, please feel free.
Catering and Shore-side Facilities
The options are endless based around Brighton Marina. They range from the Brighton Yacht Club to the Seattle Hotel.
We can arrange your catering or meeting room requirements or you can do this independently.
